Scapbook pages....

Good Afternoon!! This past week has been very busy!! I went to Taste of Home Cooking show this past week. Wow! I have been several times, but I always have so much fun! If you get a chance to go....definitely go! The price of the ticket pays for the magazines that you get, plus they always give out lots of great prizes!! A good friend of mine (hey Marsha!!) actually won of the dishes they cooked, it came in a beautiful bowl!!
Work has been keeping me on my toes as well :-) It seems like there is always some kind of drama going on :-) *sigh* only 11 years until retirement!! LOL
I had my first Christmas Stamp A Stack this past friday! We had so much fun even though we were just a small group! I just LOVE making Christmas cards!! I am so looking forward to Christmas!! :-)
Okay, I was actually so tired yesterday. I slept until 11:30!!! I NEVER sleep that late! I was afraid I might be coming down sick, but I guess my body was just trying to get caught up on sleep:-) I even took a nappie around 1:00 and slept for another hour or so! LOL I know I am so sad :-) The good news is I got in the mood to scrapbook! I haven't been able to stop! LOL So definitely stay tuned this week because I have another three layouts to share with you!!
I just LOVE how this scrapbook page turned out! As soon as I seen the scrapbook sketch challenge this week on splitcoast, I just knew I was going to use this set, Winter Post! I am not sure if you can tell but I used clear iridescent ice embossing powder on the ice rink...perfect in real life! If you have any questions just let me know!!
I hope everyone has a blessed day!! Tomorrow I will be posting Frosty Days!!! TFL!!!

Good Morning everyone! Well it is back to work for me! Will retirement ever get here?? LOL *sigh* I guess I still have a bit to go....oh well :-)
I just LOVE how this scrapbook layout turned out! Though my pictures do not do it justice! It look a little washed out, not so in real life *sigh* Anyway, I just LOVE this stamp set!! I actually was thinking of Fall when I first picked this stamp set up Sunday. However, I think it fitting for now. I left the space open on the second page for journaling or a second picture. Regardless I just LOVE it!!! Everything just kinda came together, don'tcha just love when that happens??? LOL
Well I better get back to my day! I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed day!! TFL!!

Anyway, I actually have two posts for today! The scrapbook pages I promised and a card for KWerners color inspiration challenge. I really love how these scrapbook pages turned out....but I couldn't get good clear pictures. You wouldn't believe how many pictures I took! Finally a couple of scrapbook pages :-)

Good evening!!! Better late than never, I guess! LOL Actually the cord to my laptop short circuited. So I have been without a computer until late this evening. It seems like it is always something *sigh* :-)
Anyway, I took an online class back in June (Got Sketch 101)and this was one of the make n takes that they shared with us. The "boy" page is almost an exact case. I changed the colors and used Jersey Shore Designer Paper. I couldn't resist making a girl page as well. I thought they turned out way too cute!! I just LOVE that picture of my nephew :-) He is a definite cutie pie!! You can't tell from my picture but he has blue eyes.
I also have some good news to share... Martine has a blog called Inspirational and she contacted me a bit ago and wanted to feature one of my cards! Of course I said yes! Here is the link to my card if you would like to check it out. Regardless, check her blog out if you get a chance she has a wonderful blog and features a lot of people with all kinds of talent!! Thank you Martine for featuring me!!
Well I am just about ready for bed...it has been a long day:-) See you tomorrow.... I have a very pretty card to share! It is for the Great Swaps Girls sketch challenge!!

Bloom where you are planted scrapbook pages....

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! Mine is very quiet and peaceful! My dear hubby has to work all day. So that leaves me home alone :-) I will be trying very hard not to take a nap today! LOL I definitely have my days and nights mixed up! I was up most of the night last night scrapbooking and card making! I did this for the scrapbook challenge on splitcoast. I did add my own second page! The only thing I am not happy about is the title! Though I must admit it looks much better in person than the photo you get to see :-) All in all....I LOVE it!! The Summer Picnic Designer Paper is YUM-O!!! I also LOVE this color combo!! The die-cut blooms add that perfect touch!! Okay, I just finished typing the recipe section and had to come back and add....I didn't realize there isn't any stamping or ink used on these pages!! LOL Wow...talk about super easy, huh?!!! :-)

Enjoy!!!

I am sorry I have been MIA for the past few days :-)

Yeah, it is Saturday!! This past week has been soooo hectic! LOL I am just so glad I was already prepared for my card buffet last night. ( I had to reschedule last week due to the weather). I am not sure what I would have done! I wish now I would have taken some pic's to share with ya'll! Though I am not sure how my ladies will feel about that! :-)
Anyway on for todays pic's. My scrapbookers meet this coming up Friday evening, so I have been on a scrapbooking kick! This layout was inspired by my last card that I posted and a sketch challenge over at splitcoast! Like I said before this color combo and paper (the little bit I used :-) is out of my comfort zone. However, I just love this color combo!! I think the

pages turned out sooo cute!! I hope you like it!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Blessings
Vickie

ps....In case you are wondering why there are very few pic's on my scrapbook pages, it is because I don't have any children (unfortunately) :-)

Wild Child.....

Good Morning!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! As always I am looking forward to the weekend!! LOL How many years to retirement??? LOL Anyway, on to todays pictures! I was supposed to work on a simple 8 x 8 scrapbook page for an upcoming party last night. However, this is what I came up with! LOL Waayyyy to tedious for the party, but I had so much fun putting this together that it turned into a two page spread!! I think it turned out sooo cute!! Just about all the animals have pop dotted pieces and then they were pop dotted on the page! I tried keeping the layout neutral so it could be used for a boy or a girl...which is why I used the natural hemp twine instead of ribbon. Don't you just love the monkey swinging from the twine on the second page??? LOL I took several pictures; however, I couldn't get one without the bird and gater looking washed out. The bird was stamped in bashful blue and the gater in river rock...maybe because the colors were light?? They do look great in real life!! I was hesitant about purchasing the Jersey Shore Designer Paper (so not my colors)...but I am so glad I did!! I hope you like it!!! Have a great day!!! :-)

Blessings

Finally, a new scrapbook page!!

I finally finished this 8 x 8 layout! I started it last Sunday but between the weather and being sick, it took me all week not to mention staying up very late Saturday before I was happy with it. My dear hubby's only comment was it didn't look like spring...hhhmmmm men! LOL I have chosen to ignore his comment:-) I love it! I think it turned out very pretty and girlie. I embossed all the flowers with iridicent ice so they are very sparkly. Also, I cut a Groovy Gauva Carousel Note in half for journaling. I hope you like!! Have a wonderful Sunday!!!
