I am sooo tired this morning :-)

Good Morning!!! I had such a great productive weekend!! I did get my days and nights a bit mixed up though!! LOL No complaints though, I got some great stamping time in....what can be better than that?? Hopefully, this week will be nice and easy! I have a card buffet scheduled for Friday evening but if I stay on schedule, there should be no pressure! LOL I am really hoping to participate in each challenge over at splitcoasts this week! I just checked out today's and it looks like a real fun one!Anyway, for today's card!! These colors are found in the Simply Scrappin Kit...Tie the Knot. I read where someone said Kraft was one of the colors, but I used Saraha Sand. I really LOVE this color combo!! It really is an elegant combination!! A nice easy card!! This will be one of the cards offered at my card buffet :-) Enjoy!!!

Bloom where you are planted scrapbook pages....

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! Mine is very quiet and peaceful! My dear hubby has to work all day. So that leaves me home alone :-) I will be trying very hard not to take a nap today! LOL I definitely have my days and nights mixed up! I was up most of the night last night scrapbooking and card making! I did this for the scrapbook challenge on splitcoast. I did add my own second page! The only thing I am not happy about is the title! Though I must admit it looks much better in person than the photo you get to see :-) All in all....I LOVE it!! The Summer Picnic Designer Paper is YUM-O!!! I also LOVE this color combo!! The die-cut blooms add that perfect touch!! Okay, I just finished typing the recipe section and had to come back and add....I didn't realize there isn't any stamping or ink used on these pages!! LOL Wow...talk about super easy, huh?!!! :-)

Enjoy!!!

Blessings

Beate's Weekend challenge!!

I can't believe how tired I was this morning!! Not only did I sleep in, but I took a nap this afternoon!! LOL I am so sad. However, I can't tell you how much better I feel! After waking up I thought I would check out Beate's Weekend Challenge!! I have posted a pic of the sketch. I can't tell you how much I look forward to these!! Anyway, I was in the mood to watercolor so I pulled one of my favorite sets...Heartspeak (retired). I just LOVED this set when it came out and was sad to see it go so soon. It is one of the few sets that I bought just for me without much intention of demonstrating :-) It turned out soooo pretty!! I have been on such a kick using our designer paper!! I can't stop using it! LOL I must admit I wasn't that impressed once I received this paper, but once I started using it....I just LOVE the combination of colors!! I hope you like it too!!Have a great Saturday evening!!!

Happy Thursday!!!!! Very tired and maybe even a bit goofy today! :-)

Good Morning!!! I am sooo tired this morning!! I stayed up wayyy past my bedtime! LOL I am definitely looking forward to Sunday so I can sleep in!! I am working on a very, very cute project. It still isn't done, but ohhhh la laaaaa when it is done! :-) Just a bit of tease....until then!! LOL
Today's card is a pocket card made using the pre-cut wild wasabi textured cardstock! I think it turned out sooo CUTE! Isn't the Summer Picnic Designer Paper Yum-o!!! As of late I have been cleaning my area as I work....but I am sooo glad I didn't this time! As I was putting together the inside card I kept moving the scraps out of my way; as I was reaching to finally throw them away I thought hhmmmmmm...and viola! I added a couple to my card!! Too cute, don't ya think?? :-) I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Wow....two posts for today!! :-)

I just LOVE how this card turned out!! I made this card for the Try a New Technique Challenge over at Splitcoast!! It is a flap fold card. These challenges are sooo addicting!! LOL I was up until 12:30 am finishing this card! Can you believe it?? Actually, the only reason it was so late was because of my picture taking skills (or lack of :-)) and then downloading it, putting my watermark, etc. Anyway, once I got started I just couldn't stop until it was finished!! As you can see I have once again used the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper!! I promise I can't help myself! LOL It seems I am always reaching for this paper! I promise I have another card using the Summer Picnic paper and Tart and Tangy set, I just didn't get the chance to post it yesterday! If you have any questions just let me know!! Have a great day!!!

I am really getting into these challenges...

Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a great weekend and a Happy Easter!! My weekend was great! You won't believe what I bought....yeppers a camcorder!! I would like to start posting some tutorials! My downline is growing and this is such a perfect way to help them and of course all my wonderful blogging friends :-) If there is any in particular that you would like let me know!!
Okay on to today's card!! I am really getting into these challenges!! I am looking forward to participating this week! This is last weeks sketch challenge over on Splitcoasts. Of course, I used my favorite Designer Paper Afternoon Tea! I just love this Level 2 hostess set Spring Solitude from SU! Too cute!! I am not sure if you can tell but if you look closely I pierced the bottom of the chocolate chip layer to help balance out the piercing of the scallops on top. I think everything is fairly straight forward.....if you have any questions please just let me know :-) Have a great day!!!

Couldn't sleep :-)

Good Morning!! Early, early morning!! LOL I couldn't sleep so I thought I would try Beate's weekend challenge and laundry! It usually takes me awhile to wind down after an event. Hopefully, I will be sleeping in.... :-)
Anyway, moving on to today's card! I think this card turned out so pretty!! I just love this color combo! Whatever will I do when these colors retire??? LOL I just realized tonight as I was going through my ever growing pile of SU Designer Paper that I did in fact have Porcelain Prints!! I started to order it a couple of times and would take it off at the last minute! How awful am I?? LOL The card is fairly straight forward. I sponge around the edges of the flower with the Blue Bayou and I used my nestabilities for the circle and scalloped circle. I felt SU's wasn't quite big enough...I sure do wish they would come out with some bigger sizes! I bet they would sell like hotcakes!!LOL Well, I sure do hope everyone has a great Saturday!!!

Okay....this should be my last post for today!!

Okay, I just realized that my posts today are going to read backwards! LOL Sorry about that! Can you tell I am not a morning person?? :-) Anyway, I feel this card is my very own creation based on the ones below! More so since, I cut out a Ruby Red Carousel note using the brass template and made my very own matching envelope! It was a bit tedious, but so worth it!! :-) Of course, Ginger Blossom is another favorite Designer Paper, which just goes so well with Ruby Red!! I just LOVE how this card turned out!!! I think it turned out soooo pretty!! I hope you like it!!
Well, that is it for today!! I hope I haven't wore you out!!! Have a great day everyone!!

Inspired Card.....

For my second post today, this card was inspired by the one below! I just LOVE these colors!! I have also been buying up extra of the Afternoon Tea designer paper!! I know I am so sad!!!
Does anyone else get confused by what is considered CASED or inspired?? *sigh* When you see something you LOVE how do make it your own but using their idea? Anyway, since I used the same paper and stamp set...I am using the word inspired. I do hope that is right :-) Of course, I wasn't going to be satisfied until I had my own creation....stay tuned!! LOL

If not, I will be functioning on no sleep! LOL It is so hard to believe Easter is this Sunday!! It just doesn't feel like Easter :-) Well I better get to todays pictures, because believe or not I have three posts for today!!
I cased this card from Linda over at Stamping School, with just a couple of changes! She is simply wonderful and talented!! It does cost $28 a year, but it is so worth it!! If you sign up tell her I sent you!! Anyway, if I understood correctly she got the idea from Leadership this past January. I am soooo definitely going next year!!! I can't believe someone hasn't played around with this idea!!! I LOVE the carousel notes from the Occasions Mini. Also, I have finally had a chance to play with the matching brass template :-) If you have any questions just let me know!!!

I am sorry I have been MIA for the past few days :-)

Yeah, it is Saturday!! This past week has been soooo hectic! LOL I am just so glad I was already prepared for my card buffet last night. ( I had to reschedule last week due to the weather). I am not sure what I would have done! I wish now I would have taken some pic's to share with ya'll! Though I am not sure how my ladies will feel about that! :-)
Anyway on for todays pic's. My scrapbookers meet this coming up Friday evening, so I have been on a scrapbooking kick! This layout was inspired by my last card that I posted and a sketch challenge over at splitcoast! Like I said before this color combo and paper (the little bit I used :-) is out of my comfort zone. However, I just love this color combo!! I think the

pages turned out sooo cute!! I hope you like it!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Blessings
Vickie

ps....In case you are wondering why there are very few pic's on my scrapbook pages, it is because I don't have any children (unfortunately) :-)

I have been tagged!!...

I have been tagged by Jean at It's in the Cards! Check her blog out, she has some really cute cards! She also sounds alot like me!! LOL Thank you Jean for your kind words and for tagging me!! :-) Okay, now for the juicy tid bits! (uummm N O T!!) LOL

Here are the rules: (They are simple):

1. Link to the person that tagged you

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself

4. tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs

5. let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their site..Now, here are my 6 non-important things/habits/quirks!

#1 I have always been a bit of a perfectionist. Some of my friends like to say *whispering* anal....*sigh* I am what I am :-)

#2 I refer to myself as the Queen of all Hobbies.....Master of none. *sigh* I really miss cross stitching!!!

#3 I should have been left handed. My mom had other ideas :-) I can almost use my left as well as my right, except for writing. I had the hardest time learning how to knit and crochet. I finally took a knitting class and she asked if I was righty or a lefty. I told her a righty....well it was getting pretty embarrassing and frustrating that I could not for the life of me figure it out! LOL She finally came and stood behind me....and then said, I thought you told me you were right handed?! Come to find out I was trying to do it like a left handed person! LOL I finally got it all figured out :-)

#4 I LOVE jigsaw puzzles! As a matter of fact I am a bit of a snob...I won't work one less than 2000 pieces! I got a 3,000 piece for christmas that is begging to be worked! I would love to get my hands on a 5,000 or more puzzle! LOL can you imagine??? LOL

#5 I am a Air Force brat....and PROUD of it!! LOL

#6 I am what I like to refer to as an "old soul". I think I was born in the wrong era! I long for the days when men were men and women were women. I would have loved to stayed home barefoot and pregnant! LOL However, the Lord has had other ideas... :-)

Wow...that was much harder than I thought it would be!! Okay, now it is my turn to tag six other great ladies!!

1. If you haven't checked out Flossies Follies you are missing out! She has a great blog!!

2. Another personal favorite is Mountaineer Stamper. Tessie is a just the sweetest and very talented to boot!! I am privilaged that she just signed up under me this month!!

3. Erin over at Scrap Stamp and Be Merry has a wonderful blog as well she is a SU sistah!!

4. Tracey (another SU sistah) over at Lake Shore Stamper always has a wide variety of wonderful projects!! I just LOVE the eggs that have been decorated with rubons!

5. Robinlea (and another SU sistah) over at About A Girl has a darling blog! You definitely don't want to miss out on hers!!

6. Last but not least check out Jenni (and yet again anothe SU sistah) over at Ramblings by Me! She has been MIA for a couple of weeks, moving. But she definitely knows her stuff!! Don't miss out :-)

Okay, I will be getting in touch with the six people I have tagged!! Have fun looking at their blogs!!!

Blessings
Vickie

Make a Wish!!!.....

Happy Tuesday!! It is Tuesday right?? LOL Yesterday didn't feel like Monday so I have started my week off kilter :-) Anyway, as soon as I got home I was off to do a party....at the last minute I decided to change totes. I am soooo glad I did!!! A little bit ago I mentioned misplacing the brass template that goes with the carousel notes....guess what??? Yep, I found it!!! It was kinda like Christmas again. LOL I can't believe I put it in that side pocket of that tote...I may have never found it!! I am also ashamed to say I found two others....how sad am I??? *sigh* Oh well, hopefully I will get a chance to play tonight!!
For todays card, I must admit it is completely out of my comfort zone; though I have to say More Mustard is one of my favorite colors! Can you tell I am an Earth Element kind of gal??? :-) Anyway, since I had so much fun playing with the Jersey Shore paper I thought I would give East Coast Prep a try. I really love how this card turned out!! I just LOVE the balloons! I clear embossed them and then glued some linen thread for the strings. Too cute, huh?? I hope everyone has a great day!!

Hello :-).....

Good Morning!! I just LOVE this card! I will definitely be using this color combo in the future! It is Brocade Blue, So Saffron, and Always Artichoke. The designer paper I used is from Le Jardin. I can't say I have been hoarding this paper...it was just a little more "out of the box" for me than I thought :-) Anyway, I need to use some of my expendables that are collecting dust to make room for more! LOL One thing about Stampin' Up! you do not ever have to worry about not loving future products!!!
Anyway, the card for today is fairly straight forward...I did stamp the butterfly on Very Vanilla and then again on another scrap piece. I cut it out and then gently folded in between the wings and the body and then glued it down on top of the stamped image. You can't really tell from the pic but it is very cool looking in person! I also pop dotted one of the flowers!
Well, I will be spending the day trying to stay warm!! It is snowing like mad here!! I do LOVE the snow...I will have to post a pic later today!! Stay warm!!!

Does this card look familiar?.....

I case'd it from the Mini Occassion catalog! The only thing changed is the colors. I was looking for an easy card for my ladies and I needed to use the Die Cut Blooms that I ordered in bulk. I sure do hope SU continues offer items in bulk! So much nicer and easier on the pocketbook!! LOL

It is a very easy simple card...the only tedious part was cutting out the butterfly! I just LOVE this stamp set! I know, I know, I keep saying it!! LOL

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!!

I know ya'll will think I am a sick puppy....

but I just love rainy weather! LOL Yesterday was so warm and my office was well over 83 degrees! *whew* I was never so glad for the day to end! Then today I woke up to a very cool, wet morning! I love it!! LOL It has put me in a great mood! :-)

For todays card there isn't much stamping involved. I ordered the Die Cut Blooms and I LOVE them!! Super easy card and I just love these colors together!! The only stamping is the sentiment at the bottom and I embossed it using white embossing powder. I also embossed the little flower and used a dimensional to pop it up!

I hope everyone has a great day!!

What challenges do ya'll participate in?? I would love to hear from you!

Anyway, on to today's card. Don't you just love the colors in today's card? I, of course, used one of my favorite sets yet again!! I really do hope this stamp set is around for awhile! I just love that hummingbird! LOL I am not sure if you can tell but the base of the card is basic black. Also, I couldn't resist using Iridicent Ice Embossing Powder on the flowers!
